Employee Spotlight – Kate Bhatia
Mar 19, 2020
Kate Bhatia is a Product Manager overseeing reporting and insights capabilities at 4C. “We’re building some pretty freaking cool insights and intelligence tools that will empower our clients to use some best-in-industry data science practices to optimize their media planning and buying. Making technology like that accessible to everyone is a really neat thing to be a part of.” But her favorite project at 4C? “I got to be a part of the committee that built out the new Chicago office, and that was really, really cool. It was amazing to see how much our values were reflected in the design and build of the office. I feel like the new space is a physical culmination and representation of everything that makes 4C great.”
On top of her role at 4C, Kate is also a new mom. “There’s a small but mighty group of mamas who are quick to give a word of support, but even quicker to lend an ear as I talk about what’s making me nervous/excited/anxious/happy. Practically, it’s also been amazing to have such a flexible schedule. You have to go to the doctor a lot during pregnancy, and it’s nice to have the autonomy and flexibility to plan all those appointments.”
Kate’s best piece of advice that she’s received and her advice for women early in their careers are one and the same. “No one actually knows what they’re doing most of the time…being “good” at something doesn’t mean you have all the answers. Be curious. Ask the questions you’re unsure about asking. Ask for the meetings you’re most nervous to ask for.”
