Vishnu Raveendran

Vishnu describes his college switch from nuclear engineering to computer science: “My first project was this terrible ray tracer (like Pixar’s but infinitely worse!) in Java.” (A ray tracer is a program that renders realistic images – like the Pixar lamp – simulating interactions with other virtual objects and with light.) Despite not being Pixar-ready, the idea of imagining and then building something from start to finish, hooked Vishnu on coding. Also, when programs are running, you can go get ice cream.
