To understand which brands are most active on TV, we rank the top UK advertisers using 4C’s Teletrax technology, the largest global TV monitoring network. Advertisers are ranked according to total ad minutes aired across several different categories including network, daypart, and programming.

  • O2 drove the highest social engagement lift from its TV commercials in July due to high performance from ads touting its uSwitch Best Network Coverage Award during the last week of the July.
  • O2 competitor, Vodafone, also climbed in the July rankings from its spot proclaiming it as the UK’s best network for roaming. Social engagement lift was higher at the end of the month as people evaluated making a carrier switch at the end of the month.
  • People responded to food brands on the second screen in July. Grocers Marks & Spencer, Morrisons, Asda, and Lidl all drove high social engagement lift from their TV spots as people focused on food during the summer.
