I realize many people reading this are not based in the Americas and may not care about Major League Baseball.

Further, I find it odd that the championship is called the World Series when only 2 countries are represented.

That said, the phenomenon of sport is universal and its media and marketing applications are highly consequential.

From stirring emotions through brand integration to leveraging social affinities for targeting to inspiring movie screenplays, sport – the World Series – can be quite valuable.
